Bio

Alanda L. Smith is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and a member of the National Assoc. of Social Workers.  She earned her Master's in Social Work (MSW) from George Williams College at Aurora University.  Alanda offers a wide array of counseling services, including individual, family, couples, and group services.  Her special interests include addiction, couples and grief.  However, she is proficient in treating all aspects of mental health.  Alanda's goal is to walk beside her clients on their journey towards healing and emotional stability.

Alanda spent 30 years working as a nurse before changing careers.  While continuing what she loves, helping individuals to heal, she has traveled internationally teaching leadership skills, marriage mindfulness and effective communication in relationships.  She has worked with couples for over 15 years and has been working in addictions for three years.

She is married, the mother of three children, God mom to two, and grandmother to four.  She enjoys traveling, reading, working in her yard, and spending time with her family.
